Carateu Tracr GIA natural diamond giveaway

1. Promoter

This competition is organised by Carateu AB, organisation number 559522-5144, based in Stockholm, Sweden.

No purchase or payment is required to enter.

2. Prize

The prize is one certified loose natural diamond:

  • 0.30 carat

  • Round brilliant

  • K colour

  • VS2 clarity

  • Excellent cut

  • GIA report number 1478732293

The diamond will be supplied with its accompanying GIA report.

The prize consists of the certified loose diamond only. It does not include a ring setting, jewellery mounting or custom jewellery production.

The prize includes insured shipping from Sweden to an eligible address within the European Union, Switzerland or Norway.

Winners in Switzerland or Norway may be responsible for local import duties, customs charges, taxes or administration fees.

The prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash, store credit or another product.

3. Eligibility

The competition is open to residents of the European Union, Switzerland and Norway who are 18 years of age or older when entering.

Employees, contractors and representatives of Carateu, together with members of their immediate households, may not enter.

Participants must enter as private individuals. Entries from fake accounts, giveaway-only accounts, automated accounts or accounts created primarily to manipulate competitions may be disqualified.

Carateu may request reasonable evidence of a participant’s identity, age or country of residence before awarding the prize.

4. Competition Period

The competition opens when the official competition post is published on the Instagram account @carateu_official.

Entries close at 23:59 CEST on Sunday, 6 September 2026.

Entries or bonus actions completed after this deadline will not be considered.

The winner is expected to be announced on Monday, 7 September 2026, subject to verification.

5. How to Enter

To submit a valid entry, participants must complete all of the following before the competition closes:

  • Follow @carateu_official on Instagram.

  • Like the official competition post.

  • Comment on the official instagram competition post by telling us what you would do with the diamond.

  • Tag two friends in the same comment.

The answer must be the participant’s own original contribution.

Only one primary competition entry is permitted per person. Posting the same or substantially similar answer more than once will not improve the participant’s position in the competition.

All mandatory entry requirements must be completed for an entry to be eligible.

6. Optional Bonus Actions

Participants may earn the following optional bonus points:

  • One bonus point for following Carateu on TikTok.

  • One bonus point for sharing the official competition post to their Instagram Story.

  • One bonus point for tagging one additional friend in a separate comment on the official competition post.

A maximum of three bonus points is available per participant.

Bonus points do not create additional judged answers and will not be used to select a winner randomly. They will only be considered as a tie-breaker if two or more answers receive an equal or substantially equal assessment from the judges.

If required, participants must be able to provide reasonable evidence that a bonus action was completed before the competition deadline.

7. Private Accounts and Verification

Carateu may not be able to verify follows or Story shares made through private accounts.

Participants with private accounts should send @carateu_official a direct message containing a screenshot that shows the relevant follow or Story share before the competition closes.

Screenshots will only be used to administer the competition and verify participation. Sending a screenshot does not earn an additional bonus point.

Carateu may disregard any mandatory or bonus action that cannot reasonably be verified.

8. How the Winner Is Chosen

This is a judged, skill-based competition and not a random draw.

David and representatives of Carateu will assess all eligible answers based on:

  • Originality

  • Creativity

  • Sincerity

  • How meaningfully the answer on what will be done with the diamond 

The quality of the answer will be the primary basis for selecting the winner. Optional bonus points will only be considered as a tie-breaker between answers judged to be equal or substantially equal.

No element of chance or random selection will be used.

The judges’ decision is final. Carateu is not required to publish individual scores or enter into correspondence concerning the judging decision.

9. Winner Notification

The winner is expected to be announced on Monday, 7 September 2026 through Carateu’s Instagram account and will be contacted by direct message from @carateu_official.

Carateu will never request payment, card information or banking credentials from the winner to release the prize.

The winner must reply within 24 hours of being contacted.

If the selected winner:

  • Does not reply within 24 hours;

  • Cannot provide the information required to verify eligibility;

  • Has not completed all mandatory entry requirements;

  • Has breached these rules; or

  • Is unable or unwilling to accept the prize,

Carateu may select another winner using the same judging criteria.

Participants should be alert to impersonation and scam accounts. The winner will only be contacted from @carateu_official or through an official Carateu email address ending in @carateu.com.

10. Shipping

The prize will be shipped insured from Sweden to the winner’s eligible address within the European Union, Switzerland or Norway.

The winner is responsible for providing complete and accurate delivery and contact details.

Carateu is not responsible for delays or failed delivery resulting from customs processing, courier disruption, incorrect information supplied by the winner or circumstances outside Carateu’s reasonable control.

If delivery cannot be completed because the winner provided incorrect information or failed to cooperate with the courier, Carateu is not required to provide a replacement prize.

Winners in Switzerland or Norway may be responsible for local import duties, customs fees, taxes or administration charges.

11. Taxes

The winner is responsible for determining and paying any tax that may apply to the prize in their country of residence.

Carateu may collect or report information concerning the prize where required by applicable tax or accounting rules.

12. Personal Data

Entries are submitted through Instagram comments, tags, follows, likes, Story shares and direct messages and are also subject to the relevant platform’s privacy terms and account settings.

Carateu may process participants’ Instagram or TikTok handles, competition answers, entry actions and verification screenshots where necessary to:

  • Administer the competition;

  • Confirm eligibility;

  • Verify compliance with these rules;

  • Assess entries; and

  • Select and contact the winner.

Competition information will not be added to Carateu’s marketing database solely because a person entered the competition.

Carateu will request additional information from the selected winner, including their full name, age confirmation, delivery address, telephone number and email address, where necessary to verify eligibility and arrange delivery.

The winner’s delivery details may be shared with couriers, customs representatives and other service providers where necessary to deliver the prize.

Verification screenshots and information relating to unsuccessful participants will only be retained for as long as reasonably necessary to administer the competition, resolve any dispute and meet applicable legal obligations.

13. Public Announcement

By entering, participants understand that Carateu may publish the winner’s social-media handle and winning answer on Carateu’s website, Instagram, TikTok and related competition communications.

Carateu will not publicly disclose the winner’s address, telephone number, email address or other private delivery information.

14. Participant Conduct

Participants must only tag people they know and whom they reasonably believe would be comfortable being tagged.

Entries must not be unlawful, discriminatory, abusive, threatening, defamatory, misleading or infringe another person’s intellectual-property, privacy or other rights.

Carateu may remove or disqualify entries that breach these requirements.

15. General Conditions

Carateu reserves the right to disqualify any entry that is incomplete, fraudulent, automated, abusive, misleading or otherwise contrary to these rules.

Carateu may cancel, suspend, extend or amend the competition where reasonably necessary because of fraud, technical failure, platform restrictions, legal requirements or circumstances outside Carateu’s control.

Any material amendment will be communicated through @carateu_official or on the webpage containing these rules.

If any provision of these rules is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue to apply.

The competition and these rules are governed by Swedish law. Nothing in these rules limits any mandatory consumer rights that may apply to a participant.

16. Platform Release

This competition is not sponsored, endorsed, administered by or associated with Instagram, TikTok, Meta, GIA or Tracr.

By entering, participants release Instagram, TikTok and Meta from responsibility relating to the administration of this competition, to the extent permitted by applicable law.

Instagram, TikTok, Meta, GIA and Tracr are not responsible for selecting the winner or supplying the prize.
