All diamonds offered on Carateu are independently certified by internationally recognised gemmological laboratories and are clearly disclosed as either natural or laboratory-grown on all product pages and invoices.

Natural diamonds

Natural diamonds sold on Carateu comply with the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme and the World Diamond Council System of Warranties. These frameworks are designed to prevent the trade of conflict diamonds and ensure that natural diamonds are sourced from legitimate origins in compliance with United Nations resolutions and corresponding national laws.

Laboratory-grown diamonds

Laboratory-grown diamonds are clearly labelled as such across the website and on all commercial documentation. Carateu maintains sourcing and handling procedures to ensure clear segregation between natural and lab-grown diamonds throughout the supply chain.

EU sanctions compliance

Carateu sources diamonds through vetted suppliers and platforms that enforce EU sanctions compliance. Diamonds offered on Carateu are not directly sourced from Russia and comply with applicable EU restrictions, including Regulation (EU) 833/2014.
