Every Carateu piece is carefully inspected prior to shipment to ensure it meets our standards for quality, security, and finishing. Fine jewelry and diamonds are created to last for generations, and we remain available to support you throughout the life of your piece.

Fine Jewelry Lifetime Care

12-month warranty

We provide a 12-month warranty covering manufacturing defects, including loose accent stones or structural faults occurring under normal wear.

Normal wear refers to everyday activities such as office work, commuting, dining, and general daily use. Jewelry should be removed during sports, heavy lifting, or activities that may expose it to impact, pressure, or harsh conditions.

If your ring or jewelry requires service, you may return it to Carateu or choose a trusted local jeweler. We will reimburse approved repair costs up to €100, provided the repair is agreed in advance and a valid VAT receipt is supplied.

Complimentary resizing

We offer one complimentary resizing within 30 days of delivery, provided the ring is unworn and in original condition.

Complimentary resizing applies to adjustments of up to two sizes up or down, which safely covers the vast majority of cases. Larger adjustments may require remanufacture and will be quoted individually before any work proceeds.

If preferred, resizing may also be performed by a trusted local jeweler. We will reimburse resizing costs up to €100, subject to prior approval and a valid VAT receipt.

We strongly recommend confirming your ring size before ordering. We are happy to provide a complimentary ring sizer upon request.

Repairs and servicing

Beyond the warranty period, we are always happy to assist with maintenance, resizing, or repairs at cost. Many routine services can also be completed locally, and we can advise on the best approach.

Secure returns and shipping

If sending your jewelry to Carateu, it must be shipped fully insured and traceable, as responsibility for the piece remains with the sender until it has been safely received by us.

Please contact us in advance to confirm the return or service request. We are unable to accept items sent without prior approval. Our team will guide you through the process to ensure your piece is handled safely and securely.

If preferred, we can arrange insured FedEx shipping at our negotiated cost price, providing a seamless and fully insured return.

Loose Diamond Authenticity Guarantee

Every loose diamond offered by Carateu is individually verified before shipment to ensure it fully matches its laboratory grading report and meets our internal quality standards.

Each stone is inspected in Sweden and confirmed against its unique certificate number, grading characteristics, and laser inscription when present. Only after this verification is the diamond released for delivery.

All diamonds are supplied with their original grading report from internationally recognised laboratories such as GIA, IGI, which serves as the diamond’s permanent identity.

Unlike large global marketplaces that ship directly from distributed inventories, Carateu performs an independent verification step prior to dispatch, providing an additional layer of assurance.

Loose diamonds are covered by our 14-day return period, allowing you to inspect the stone in person. Once a diamond has been handled, set, or altered by a third party, responsibility transfers to the owner.
