Free Shipping
Carateu offers complimentary shipping to all countries within the European Union and Norway for orders above 1,000 SEK /€100 (or local currency equivalent).
For orders below 1,000 SEK/€100, shipping fees are clearly displayed at checkout before payment.
All shipments are fully insured and dispatched from Sweden.
Where We Ship
Carateu delivers exclusively to customers within the European Union and Norway.
We do not ship to countries outside these regions or to sanctioned jurisdictions.
All orders are verified and dispatched from Sweden by Carateu AB.
How Our Process Works
Because each diamond is unique, every order includes a verification step before final shipment.

The selected stone or jewellery piece is sourced from our verified supplier network.

The item is shipped to Sweden for final verification and quality control.

After verification, it is securely packaged and dispatched to your nominated delivery address.
This process ensures authenticity, certification accuracy, and quality control before the item reaches you.
Loose Diamonds
Estimated delivery time: typically 7–12 working days from the date of purchase.

All loose diamonds are verified against their grading report before dispatch.
Rings and Made-to-Order Jewellery
All rings and custom-made jewellery are produced specifically for your order.
Estimated delivery time: approximately 3–6 weeks from order confirmation.

Express Delivery
Express delivery may be selected at checkout for an additional fee.
Express delivery applies only to the final shipment from Sweden after the item has completed sourcing, production (if applicable), and verification.
Express delivery does not shorten:

The verification process in Sweden
If express delivery is selected, the parcel will be shipped using an expedited service (such as overnight delivery where available) once it is ready for dispatch.
Taxes, VAT and Duties
European Union
Orders delivered within the European Union are shipped from Sweden.

Norway (Non-EU)
Orders shipped to Norway are dispatched from Sweden and are not subject to EU VAT.
Prices shown for Norwegian deliveries exclude VAT. Norwegian VAT (currently 25%) is collected by the carrier upon arrival in Norway. The carrier may also apply standard customs clearance or handling fees in accordance with local regulations.
These charges are set by Norwegian authorities and logistics providers and are payable by the customer upon delivery.
Tracking
Once your order has been dispatched from Sweden, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing tracking details.

A signature is required upon delivery for high-value items.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that someone is available to receive and sign for the delivery where required.
Delivery and Risk
Risk of loss transfers in accordance with applicable mandatory consumer protection laws.
If a shipment is suspected lost in transit, we will initiate an investigation with the carrier. Customers may be required to cooperate in the investigation process.
Replacement or refund will be arranged once the carrier confirms the outcome of the investigation.
Delays and Exceptional Circumstances
In rare cases, delays may occur due to:

Customs processing for non-EU deliveries
If your order is delayed beyond the stated estimate, we will inform you as soon as reasonably possible.
Uncollected Shipments
If a shipment is not collected within the time period specified by the carrier and is returned to us, this does not constitute an exercise of the right of withdrawal.
The customer may be responsible for reasonable costs incurred for outbound shipping, return transport, insurance, and handling.
Repeated uncollected shipments may result in refusal of future orders.
Delivery Issues
If your package arrives visibly damaged, please notify the carrier at the time of delivery and contact us immediately at info@carateu.com.
If you believe an item is missing or incorrect, contact us within 48 hours of delivery with supporting documentation (such as photos or video).
