Here’s how it works, step by step.

Step 1. Browse thousands of certified diamonds

Carateu gives you access to a large global selection of certified natural and lab grown diamonds and gemstones.

Use powerful filters to choose shape, carat, cut, color, clarity, price, and certification. Whether you are comparing stones, setting a budget, or exploring tradeoffs, everything is transparent and fully visible.

We work with trusted global suppliers and only list stones that meet our baseline quality standards

Step 2. Choose with confidence

All diamonds on Carateu are certified by leading gemological institutes.

We accept GIA and IGI certificates, the international standards for natural and lab grown diamonds. Full grading details are always visible so you know exactly what you are buying, see example on where you can find the certification number on the image below. 

We do not push one option over another. Natural and lab grown diamonds are presented side by side so you can choose what best fits your values, lifestyle, and project.

Step 3. Final verification in Sweden

Once you place an order, your diamond is shipped to our office in Stockholm, Sweden.

Every stone receives a final in-house verification by our Graduate Gemologist, trained at IGI with additional education from GIA. This step ensures the stone matches its certificate and meets our quality expectations before it is sent to you.

Only after this final check do we approve the diamond for delivery.

Step 4. Secure EU delivery with no surprises

After verification, your diamond is carefully packaged and shipped from Sweden to your address within the EU.

All prices include VAT.
There are no additional customs fees, import charges, or long clearance delays.

Because Carateu is built specifically for the European market, delivery is fast, discreet, and predictable.

Step 5. Inspect at home with peace of mind

High-value purchases should never feel rushed.

Once your diamond arrives, you have time to inspect it properly.

We offer a 14-day return period on all diamonds. If the stone does not feel right, you can return it to us within that window according to our return policy.

Our quality standards

We respect that customers have different values, lifestyles and priorities.

We do not list diamonds below S2 clarity, as inclusions at that level are too visible for our standards. We also clearly show cut, symmetry, and polish grades so you can understand tradeoffs and make informed decisions.

You are free to choose what matters most to you, whether that is size, sparkle, or balance across the 4Cs.
