Calibrated sizing. Listed dimensions have a tolerance of ±0.1 mm. Exact millimetre measurements cannot be selected or guaranteed.
No individual certificates — standard industry practice for melee. Melee is the exception at Carateu: all other stones we sell are certified. Individual certification is not available for this melee range.
Cut to order: typically 10–12 business days for production, followed by review in Stockholm and insured dispatch. Please confirm the size range or tolerance with your jeweller before ordering.
What is the minimum order?
The minimum is 10 diamonds per selected size and type. You can order any whole quantity above 10, including 11 or 23. The minimum applies separately to every size and to natural and lab-grown diamonds; five of one size and five of another do not qualify. Prices shown are per stone, not per pack.
Can I order an exact millimetre measurement?
No. We supply calibrated melee within the size ranges or tolerances stated on each product. Calibrated does not mean every stone has an identical measurement. Individual stones may fall anywhere within the listed range or tolerance. We cannot select stones to an exact millimetre measurement or guarantee identical dimensions across an order. For oval melee, refer to the dimensional tolerance on the product page. Please have your jeweller confirm that the listed range or tolerance is suitable for your setting before ordering.
Are the melee diamonds certified?
Melee diamonds are not normally individually certified; this is standard industry practice for these small stones. This is an exception to Carateu’s certified offering: all other stones sold by Carateu are certified. Our natural and lab-grown melee are supplied without individual laboratory certificates or grading reports. Individual certification is not an available option for this range, and we do not undertake searches for certified melee. Our gemologist’s quality-control review does not constitute independent laboratory certification.

What do the colour, clarity and cut descriptions mean?
The listed DEF colour, VS clarity and very good cut describe the supplier's melee quality selection. They are quality ranges, not individual laboratory grades for each stone. Small variations in dimensions and appearance are inherent in melee selections. Choose according to the specifications published on the product page.
What are melee diamonds used for?
Melee are small diamonds used in pavé, halos, side-stone settings and other fine jewellery details. Millimetre dimensions help your jeweller match stones to a setting; stated carat weights are approximate. Your jeweller should confirm the required size range, tolerance and quantity before you buy.
How long does sourcing and delivery take?
Our melee diamonds are cut to order, with production typically taking 10–12 business days. This is the production period, not a guaranteed delivery date. The stones are then reviewed by our gemologist in Stockholm before dispatch. Please refer to the relevant product page for the current lead time.
Are EU VAT and insured delivery included?
Our displayed prices include EU VAT. We dispatch from Sweden with fully insured delivery; available destinations and any delivery charges are shown at checkout.
