Frequently asked questions
Why does delivery take 3–6 weeks?

Every Carateu ring is crafted to order rather than taken from stock. Once your diamond and setting are selected, the ring is carefully produced, set by experienced jewellers, and inspected by our gemologist in Stockholm before shipment. This process typically takes around 3–6 weeks.
Can I return the ring if it isn’t right?

Yes. You have a 14-day return period once you receive your ring. The ring must be returned in its original condition with all documentation, including the diamond certificate.
What if the ring size is incorrect?

We offer one complimentary resizing within 30 days of delivery, provided the ring is unworn and in original condition. This covers adjustments of up to two sizes.
Are there any import fees or hidden costs?

No. All orders are shipped from Sweden within the European Union. VAT is included in the price and there are no import duties for EU customers. For Norwegian clients, 25% of prices are removed at checkout as it is their responsibility to pay VAT fees to the local government.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping is always complimentary and insured for the duration of the shipment to provide piece of mind for each purchase from Carateu.

Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds are real diamonds with the same physical, chemical, and optical properties as natural diamonds. The only difference is how they are created. Natural diamonds form in the earth over millions of years, while lab-grown diamonds are produced in controlled environments using advanced technology.
How do I choose the right diamond?
